Issue with Paginated Report Access in Acumatica
Initially, I created a paginated report and published it in a PPU workspace, then embedded it into Acumatica.
For access, I provided the user with all necessary permissions, including dataset access and paginated report access. Both the workspace and users are on PPU.
I am able to view the report without any issues, but the user is unable to see it from the Acumatica screen and is encountering an error.
Could anyone please help look into what might be causing this?
Hi kchekuri04,
Thanks for the update. Since the user is able to access the report directly in Power BI Service, everything looks fine from the Power BI side and the issue seems specific to embedding in Acumatica. To narrow this down, could you please try embedding the same report in another portal or using a different option like “Publish to web” and check if it works? This will help confirm whether the issue is with Power BI embedding or specific to Acumatica. Also, please check in Developer Playground if the embed code is getting generated and working properly. If embedding works fine in other places, then this would point to an issue on the Acumatica side, and you may need to check with their team as it falls outside Power BI support boundaries. Please share your findings so we can assist further.

Hi kchekuri04,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum. Please ask the affected user to open the paginated report directly in Power BI Service. If it fails there, then it’s a straightforward access/licensing issue, check PPU license and dataset Build permission. If it works there but still fails in Acumatica, then the problem is with embedding/authentication method and the fix will need to happen on the Acumatica side to ensure the user’s actual AAD identity is used when calling Power BI.
Hope this helps if you have any queries we are happy to assist you further.

v-hjannapu I checked with the affected user, and she is able to access the paginated report directly in Power BI Service without any issues. However, she is still encountering an error when trying to access the same report through Acumatica.
Based on this, it appears the issue is related to the embedding/authentication method in Acumatica.
