Power Query has no connector for Apache Arrow?!

I was very perplexed to find that Power Query/Power BI doesn't seem to have any connector or ability to access Apache Arrow data?  Is there something that I am missing? Given how fast it is growing as an analytics and large data tool I was surprised there is no integration.

The Arrow package in R is not recognized as a package that PBI uses/has.  When will the Apache Arrow package for R come to Power BI?

 

I would love to write my data out to disk using parquet?

Looks like there are R/Python packages for Apache Arrow, which do integrate with Power Query, so you could use that to pull your data.
