Power Bi implementation via Teams
Hello Dazzathedrummer . Considering you have a team of 20 people, you would need a pro liscense at the very minimum for each of the report consumers. Once you create a report in Power BI Dekstop, publish it to Power BI Service in a workspace.
Power BI Service is the online platform where we manage and share our reports, while Workspaces provide a way to organize, collaborate on, and manage our Power BI content effectively. Once your report has been published, find the repor in your workspace and use chat in teams options. You can also schedule your report from Power BI Service.

Let me know if it helps.
Thanks,

Hi Dazzathedrummer ,
For users to view and interact with Power BI reports embedded in Teams tabs, they will need either a Power BI Pro license or the content needs to be in a workspace that is in a Premium capacity (Power BI Premium per user or per capacity). Since you mentioned your boss could see the report tab with an option for a 60-day trial, it indicates he is accessing a Pro content without a Pro license. For a broader implementation across your company (for around 20 people), you would need to ensure all users either have a Power BI Pro license or the content needs to be in a workspace that is in a Premium capacity.

Regarding the refresh options for Power BI reports within Teams, reports embedded in Teams will reflect the refresh status as configured in the Power BI service. The manual "refresh on demand" option within Teams is not directly available. Users viewing the report in Teams will see the data as of the last scheduled or manual refresh done in Power BI service.
To set up scheduled refresh, you need to configure it in the Power BI service. Go to your report in the Power BI service, navigate to the dataset settings, and configure the scheduled refresh.

For immediate refresh needs, users would need to refresh the data in Power BI Desktop and republish the report, or manually trigger a refresh in the Power BI service, which would then be reflected in Teams.
