Hello,
Power Bi Desktop can rendere data from Odata api, but power Bi app can't render data from Odata API.
I created a report in desktop and publisehd on to my workspace for Power BI APP but now dataset is static it doesn't refresh automatically rather is is asking for personel data gateway?
(Note : I don't want to create a gateway rather I want the data to be refreshed automatically as it is done on the desktop version)
Any help will be appriacted in this.

@renusaini,
When you get data from on-premises OData Service, gateway is required if you want to refresh the dataset in Power BI Service. Please install on-premises gateway(personal mode) in your machine, and once you configure the gateway, enter credential for your dataset in Service, you are able to set schedule refresh for you dataset.

Lydia
@renusaini,
Do you get data from on-premises data source and does your dataset contain multiple data sources? If so, when refreshing the dataset in Power BI Service, gateway is required.

Lydia
Hi Lydia,
we created Odata Api because of this reason only, as odata api pull data from on premisis Database.
