I am trying to install the Power BI Personal Gateway on a PC on our domain but not having much success when signing in. I am able to log into Office365 and the PowerBI website with my credentials via a web browser; however for the option to sign in during the install keeps giving an error. One thing to note is outside the network, I was able to install the gateway on my laptop; but once I am back on the network it does not work.
Here are the images of the error:
Any help with this is appreciated.
Also having the same problem with our corporate Office365 portal. Exact same error message. The connector was working with the preview edition but since I installed the new version I can't get it set up.
Sorry, I forgot to say, exact same error, but in the AS Connector. I'm guessing they use the same power bi login.
I am having a similar problem. Several people at my company get stuck on the sign in page, but others have been able to get past it. I've tried installing and signing into the Gateway on two different computers (one outside the network, it's not even a company laptop) and no luck. Same thing with the AS Connector. I don't see the error on the left screen shot, though, just the vague one from the right. Maybe I should make a separate post. We have O365 with a Power BI tenant. Really stuck on this!
I just got an email from the support team that there is a known issue that they are trying to resolve in the next 24-48 hours
I was able to solve this by disconnecting my Microsoft account from my work domain account by going to "PC Settings" then "Accounts" then "Your Account" and clicking Disconnect (I'm on Windows 8.1). But then later last night after doing this, several people said the issue was fixed without them having to do that, so maybe Microsoft did do something to fix it!
Do you have a proxy in the mix, could it be related to this post?
I did not get that error that is in that post. Also, as far as I know, there are no proxies on our network.
