Personal Gateway Error: Failed to update service user

I just upgraded to the new Personal Gateway (version 1.6.5715.5).

Before the upgrade logging in with my windows credentials caused no errors.

 

Now I receive the error "Failed to update service user" while attempting to connect/configure the Personal Gateway.

You might find that you need to do the following:

 

1) Run the install / upgrade exe as an administrator (right-click and choose "Run as Administrator")

2) Make sure that the Windows account you are specifying is part of the local Adminstrators group
