I've got an Access Database that is automatically refreshed ever two hours. I want to publish it to Power BI so that others can see the data. I know I can do this manually by, refreshing and publishing, in Power BI Desktop. I'd love to have this automated.
The access database refreshes every other hour, and I'd love to publish this data with each refresh. I just don't want to be chained to my desk and have to do this manually. Are there other options out there for this?
It's frustrating, because I'm doing it, I just want to do the same thing on a set schedule. I doubt there are any batch files out there that will accomplish this. Please help me out, if someone knows a better way.
Hi @Anonymous,
You can install and configure Power BI personal gateway following the guide in this article. After that, you are able to use the gateway to refresh our dataset, and when changes occur in Access database, changes will be synced in Power BI reports based on the refresh schedule and you don’t need to re-publish Power BI Desktop file.
Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
