Hi Fave24 

Check if your dataset is too large for slow loading, and you can try to clear the data permissions at data source settings and then reconnect to the data source.

    Thanks for replying. 

     

    Unfortunately, clearing the data permissions and setting to the large semantic model did not work 😞

    Any other ideas?

     

    This option (see screenshot below) works right away, but what is exactly the difference between connecting to the Lakehouse or connecting to the semantic model?

      Hi Fave24 

      Please make sure the version of your Power BI Desktop is the latest, then try to uninstall Power BI Desktop and reinstall it and connect the lakehouse again.

        Hi Anonymous 

        I uninstalled Power BI desktop, reinstalled it and tried to connect the lakehouse again. Unfortunately, again no positive results. We also tried to connect the lakehouse on another computer in Power BI, again it did not connect. 

        We also made a new lakehouse, but again the same problems...

         

        But I can connect to a dataset in the lakehouse by connecting to a new set semantic model in the same lakehouse. See screenshot in previous reply. As long as I cannot fix the direct connection to the lakehouse, I think I will use this connection. Is there a good alternative? Or are there reasons, not to connect to the semantic model?
