We are using the Office 365 Adoption Pack, but the issue is when we update user's AD data, it doesn't update in the pack:
Example: We have users with new Company field values populated.
So User: Jane Smith, field "Company" was AcmeCo and now it is Umbrella Corp. (In the model UserState.Company)
I saw the update replicate in our AD, verified it is showing up in Azure AD for the Company field...but after two days the new value is NOT showing up in the Power BI Content Pack.
Anyone else have this or run into this?
Hi @OneWithQuestion,
When you connect to the content pack for the first time, it will automatically populate with your data for the previous 12 months. After that, the content pack will refresh weekly. Customers can choose to modify the refresh schedule if their use of this data demands a different update rhythm such as daily. The back-end Office 365 service will refresh data on a daily basis and provides data that is between 36-72 hours latent from the current date.
In your scenario, please refresh manually for the dataset or get a new content pack to see if the change reflect in the report.
Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu
Thank you, I tried those suggestions but no change.
I went and downloaded a new content pack so it would be certain to get new data, no change.
I went and updated the data source manually, no change.
When I go and edit the reprot then add a new page and drag Company from UserState onto the page and then DisplayName and locate my name, it still shows my old Company value.
Alternatively, you can try AdminDroid to get Usage and Adoption statistics. It gives you usage statistics by dept, city, office, company, designation, etc.
All properties information is updated in less than 10 mins after you made the changes to the AD.
You can check this in interactive demo: http://demo.admindroid.com/#/audit/dashboards/user-activities?filterId=1
Thanks, I am looking at that.
However, I am not clear how it works, does it leverage PowerBI?
How does it get its data, the download is just a .EXE (is there a .ZIP option so I can explore the files instead of just executing it blindly?)
Thanks!
