We are receiving this error reconfirming our credentials to our Google Analytics account. We haven't changed a single thing on the report in months and are just now receiving this error so it seems this is an issue on google's end.
I found similar posts with this same issue (https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Query/quot-We-found-an-unexpected-character-in-the-J...).
Has anyone found a fix?

Hi @aohara15
A practical workaround for the GA4 connector issue is to export your GA4 data to Google BigQuery and then connect Power BI to BigQuery. This approach gives you more flexibility, control, and reliability when reporting on GA4 data.
Export GA4 data to BigQuery
Export Google Analytics 4 data to BigQuery
Connect Power BI to BigQuery
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/connectors/google-bigquery
This method avoids the instability of the GA4 connector and allows you to work with full GA4 datasets in Power BI.
Hope this helps.
If this resolves your issue, please consider marking it as the accepted solution to assist others in the community.

Hi @aohara15
Please check the following troubleshooting steps that might resolve your issue.
Ensure you’re using the latest version of Power BI Desktop and the Google Analytics connector, as Microsoft has released updates to improve GA4 support.
If using a service account, make sure the JSON key file is original and unmodified5.
If using OAuth2, try removing and re-adding the connection.
Double-check that you’re selecting the correct authentication method and that your Google Analytics account has the right permissions.
Few users have had success by limiting the amount of data requested per query.
If the above information helps you, please give us a Kudos and marked the Accept as a solution.
