File or Folder: We couldn't find the folder while coworker CAN access the same folder without issues
Hi all,
Please see screenshots of both myself and my colleague. We're trying to refresh the same report. But for some reason it isn't working when my colleague tries to refresh it. We've checked all settings (global/report settings) and we made sure that everything is matching. It is still not working and it did work in the past. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?
Please note that there is an asterix behind the folder path which shoudn't be there. Adding it to PowerQuery doesn't solve the problem.
Help is much appreciated.
Kind regards TGB

Hi,
Yes the two paths are intentional!
We've contacted our IT department, my colleague had to write some extra code in the path for some reason. The IT deparment has updated his version of PowerBI and that has solved the problem.
Thanks for your reply!

There are two different paths on the Z drive - is that intentional ? And no, the asterisk should definitely not be there.
Does your colleague have access to both folders? Are there any other error messages?

I had to post to this solved question because the answer for me turned out to be SO simple (yet it annoyed me for weeks)! So for anyone else who came here looking for a solution: it turned that my old password that connects to the external server was saved under the data source settings.
To resolve it, I had to go to: File - Options and Setting - Data Source Settings - Edit Permissions - Credentials/Edit. And then select: Use my current credentials. (Or you could update your password, but then you have to do it again the next time.) That's it!
Just in case anyone happens to have this same issue. I hope it helps!
