I'm still learning Dataflows, but understand that they need to be published. I've created one that I can save and run without errors, but do not see a publish button in the bottom right corner:
What am I missing?
Solved! Go to Solution.
The Dataflow Gen2 CI/CD went GA just a little while ago, and if you create a Dataflow Gen2 from within a FOLDER in Fabric, then it DEFAULTS to this new version (box is checked and you can't un-check it). Microsoft calls this 'by design'.
If you want a legacy Dataflow Gen2, create it from the root folder in Fabric workspace, then later move it to the folder you want.
This new version does not have a PUBLISH button. All you can do is Save and Run. It's supposed to be better but I think the jury is still out on that. I personally have had issues with it.

Hi Todd, Thanks for sharing. I want to use the new CI/CD Gen 2 dataflow so that I can deploy the dataflow in pipelines. However, I am struggling to publish the new dataflow as it doesn't show any publish option. It only lets you save and run which does nothing. Hard to see if the dataflow is published. How to do this? Thank you.
There is no Publish button. All you can do is Save and Run (upper left corner). Same functionality, different user action/interface.
