Is this even possible? Would like to be able to connect to an index to query its data. Reading the article below it seems it should be possible:

But each time I attempt to connect to one of our indexes, and authenticate using "Web API", I get an error telling me "A web API key can only be specified when a web API key name is provided. I tried entering the key itself in the Key window and I have also tried entering the key name in the Key window but each time the same message appears.

You can specify an API key name in the hearers area of Web.Contents using Advanced Editor. Please review the example in the similar thread below:

@Anonymous appreciate the response. I read the thread you linked and still don't really understand how to make this work.

Add a blank query in Power BI Desktop, then paste your M scripts into the Advanced Editor of the query. There is also a similar thread for your reference.
