Cannot connect to Azure SQL (The name provided is not a properly formed account name.)

Hey,

I cannot connect to azure sql showing error message: The name provided is not a properly formed account name.

My connect to same database is working fine with sql server management studio.

I couldn't find solution by googling so I posted it here.

What authentication method do you use in Power BI Desktop? I can successfully connect to Azure SQL database in Power BI Desktop November release(2.64.5285.741).

Hey,

I can't get to that phase. There is Fields Server and Database (optional).

I give my server and click ok and it throws that error.

@Anonymous,

What is the result when you leave Database (optional) textbox as blank?  Also make sure you clear the stored credential of Azure SQL database in Power BI Desktop.
