Azure Ad Connection

Hi all,

We are developing a Canvas app which uses Azure AD connector in it.

Now, we want to export the project to another environment, to another domain. So do we need a Azure AD Admin or someone with same rights to establish a connection of AAD to the App for the first time or a normal user of AAD can also connect/sign-in to the Azure AD connector?

Can anyone please help me in this in detail.

Hi @Syndicate_Admin

I think it requires a user who has relevant permissions to the AAD. Please refer to Azure AD - Connectors | Microsoft Docs

To use this integration, you will need access to an Azure Active Directory account with sufficient privileges. To make a connection, select Sign In. You will be prompted to provide your account information, follow the remainder of the screens to create a connection.

To use the Azure AD connector, the account needs to have the following administrator permissions:

  • Group.ReadWrite.All
  • User.ReadWrite.All
  • Directory.ReadWrite.All
