Automatically create a query

Hello, I have a particular dilemma and wtih my search so far I have foud it cannot be done. Pls help me out.

I have a folder where a new excel file will be uploaded everyday. I have found a solution to picking the latest file in a folder everyday, but no solution as to how to keep the data?

For example, I pick file 1 with 10 rows and append it to my original table (10 rows). Then the next day I want to pick file 2 with 10 rows and append it to my original table (now 20 rows). So now my original table should have 30 rows.

And this process needs to be done every day. 30 rows, then 40, then 50, and so on.

Is there any solution to this? I will have to create a new query each day and teach it to pick the latest file..

Hi @Anonymous

I make a test as below:

I have a folder with many excel files, everyday a new file is uploaded into this file.

Let to say, yeaterday i have 1,2,3 excel file.

1.Get data ->Folder->enter/browser the folder path(get all files in this folder)->Edit

2.Combine files

3.png

Today, i upload file 4 to this folder, then click on "Refresh All" in Power BI, it will get new data from file 4 into this table

Thank you, Maggie. That does solve this particular problem.

Once I have uploaded it to the Power Bi online service and scheduled a report refresh, will that "Refresh All" as well?
