Provisioning Data Factory Fabric

Hi,

We are looking at migrating our azure data factory to Fabric. We have been trying to figure out how to provision a new data factory in fabric to do this but haven't been able to figure out how. We don't want to mount the existing ADF over as we would like everything to run in Fabric itself. My understanding is there should be a whole data factory "area" within fabric as shown in the screen shot attached from some of the training material we've seen. However we don't seem to be able to access this. Can someone direct me to where this is? Or has this changed and I'm looking at old material?

Hello,

The equivalent of ADF in fabric are called pipeline

The screenshot you share is showing existing pipelines, first you need to create your first pipeline in a worksapce with a fabric capacity

in new item, you should find:

Do not hesiste to ask if you need more help for this point 🙂

Ps: if you do not see it, it can mean that your admin disabled the ability to create fabric item

Hi @GlynMThomas

As @Cookistador mentioned, you're looking for a Pipeline. The "Data Factory" view at the bottom left corner is no longer a thing, the only views are Fabric and Power BI, so make sure you're in the Fabric view.

Also know that not all ADF functionality exists yet in Fabric, I recommend reading this blog post to learn about the migration assistant so you can identify what can and can't be moved right now: Assessing Your Azure Data Factory for Migration to Fabric Data Factory | Microsoft Fabric Blog | Mic...
