Hello, everyone, i need your help. I have a SQL Server based report and now I wanted to know if it is possible to use it offline. So that I have no connection, but can still choose the different customers, for example. I always get the "no network" error. Has anyone already made this experience?
Best regards, Max

Hey @Max_Sounds ,
when the app has no connection, you can load a previosuly visited report, but you cannot modify a filter/slicer. This is a current limitation of the app.
More about offline is explained in this article: View your data offline in the Power BI mobile apps - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
Thanks, Maya

You can freely switch between report pages but if you open "Transform data" (Power Query Editor) and try to alter anything in your queries it will give an error message. Additionally, if you try to refresh the data it will also throw an error. So if you are already done with preparing your data, you can almost freely work on the report!

OK. When it has loaded, you can choose between the areas that are a problem, but then I cannot select any new "customers" in the filter because the values are no longer loaded for this purpose. Am I correct?
If you want to filter through Power Query then yes you are correct. If it is just adding a filter (or slicer) to the report then you have no problem! Also, if you want to upload "new customers" to your dataset it will also give an error. You can only do that online!

If you just want to work on the report, you have almost every functionality as in online mode but if you are talking about using Power Query and transforming data, unfortunately it is not available in offline mode. You may vote for this microsoft idea and this way the product team may consider to add this feature in the future.
