URL parameter encoding issue when opening link via PowerBI App, instead of browser

Hi.

We are using URL parameters to apply filters to app, and they work fine when opening via browser, but provide faulty results when opening via powerBI iOS app.

Relevant URL section: ?filter=Stores%2FStore_x0020_Code%20eq%20%27N106%27

Expected filter: "Store Code" is N106

Result when opening via browser

Is this a url encoding issue or an app issue?

Hey @Borks ,

The scenario you describe should be supported.

Please contact us at Power BI Mobile Support <mpbisup@microsoft.com> for additional investigation.

Make sure to include a description of the issue and the app version you are using, and if possible, include a PBIX file that reproduces the issue.

Thanks,

Maya

This issue could be caused by URL encoding or an app issue. URL encoding is the process of converting string characters into a format that is suitable for use in a URL. If the URL encoding for the parameter is incorrect, it could result in a filter that doesn't work as intended. Additionally, there could be an issue with the PowerBI iOS app that is causing it to interpret the URL parameters incorrectly. To determine the root cause, you could try decoding the URL parameter and checking if it is correctly formatted, and also check if there are any known issues with the PowerBI iOS app that might be causing the issue.
