Thank you for sharing your experience — this is a common concern when optimizing reports for mobile users. Let me address both points:

1. Unwanted Vertical Scroll (Blank Space Below Visuals)

Cause:
Even if there’s no visual beyond the layout’s visible area in Power BI Mobile View, invisible padding or misaligned visuals can still trigger scrollbars.

Fixes to Try:

  • Ensure all visuals fit within the mobile layout grid — avoid overlapping or extending even 1px below the layout zone.

  • Check and remove empty or hidden visuals that may have been placed off-screen.

  • Use the "View as Mobile Layout" preview and test page by page.

  • In Power BI Service, open the report on a real mobile browser to verify behavior, as it may differ slightly from Desktop Preview.

2. Sticky Footer / Frozen Bottom Menu (Feature Request)

Current Status:
Power BI does not currently support sticky/fixed-position elements in mobile layout. This includes menus or visuals that remain locked in place while scrolling.

Workaround Ideas:

  • Design a menu-like visual at the top, as it's more natural for sticky interaction in Power BI.

  • If using Power Apps embedded inside Power BI, you may have more control over layout behavior (e.g., sticky regions).

  • Submit or vote on this as an idea in the Microsoft Ideas portal — it's a valuable UX improvement for mobile-first reports.

Summary

  • Adjust layout and double-check for hidden/misaligned visuals to remove unnecessary scroll.

  • Sticky footers aren't supported in Power BI Mobile View — consider alternative UX placements or Power Apps for more advanced interaction.
