Reports Connected to On-Premise SQL Server Datasets with DirectQuery Not Refreshing in iOS

I created some reports connected to on-premise SQL Server datasets with DirectQuery enabled.  The reports are not refreshing on the iOS app.

I can refresh the reports on the PowerBI service if I click on the refresh button; however, the reports on the iOS app do not appear to have a similar refresh feature.

I would also think that refreshing the reports on the PowerBI service would result in the reports on iOS also being refreshed (thinking that the iOS app pulls its data from the service somehow); however, it does not.  Additionally, even if this method did work (going to the service first and refreshing there and then going to the app), that would defeat the purpose of the app.

I have tried refreshing the reports in the iOS app by pulling up the list of reports and "pulling down" on the list of reports.  The "refresh circle" appears; however, the report data is not refreshed.

I have an iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 9.2.1 (13D15) and PowerBI iOS app 7.6.

Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.
