Hi All,
I'm trying to create a Sales Forecast report that my CEO can access through the PowerBI IOS app. The problem is that he wants to be able to refresh the dashboard at will. Right now I see that I can create a report, which I also see I can pull down to refresh. The problem is that it doesn't appear to actually refresh the dataset. To do that, I have to log in on my computer, go to the dataset, right-click, click "Refresh Now" and then the report data is updated.
Is this as good as it is going to get for me? I know I can schedule the refresh each hour, but that is not good enough for my usecase.
thanks!
Hi
Since I was getting this question a lot, I've just created a video which shows how to refresh a dateset from your mobile. Please watch the video and if you like it, it would be nice if you could subscribe to the channel:
Hi,
I watch your video and create the flow. However, it doesnt work. When I checked the flow history, it remarked as still running. See pic below
Hey @afiqhaziq ,
Power BI Mobile apps now support dataset refresh natively. You no longer need to build flow in order to rfresh a dataset from the app. Check this blog post with all the details: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/datasets-are-now-in-power-bi-mobile-apps-refresh-your-datas...
Thanks Maya
Hi,
I just did as instructed in the blog. However, an error as below come out
Check the details (tap "See more") to understand why the refresh was disabled, or tap the "View full details.." to get the Power BI service view.
This is not related to the app, but to an issue with the dataset or the refresh configuration.
Thanks, Maya
Hi @Anonymous,
Current power bi mobile not support to refresh dataset, you can only refresh dataset by schedule refresh or manual refresh at service side.
For your requirement, you can submit it to ideas.

Xiaoxin Sheng
