Power BI app automatic update

Hello,

This is regarding data refresh/scheduler and Just wanted to know how the Power BI app works.

I have setup a scheduler in power BI pro and it's working perfectly fine But i can not see those changes while accessing the power BI app. I googled it and find that Power BI app does not update automatically we need to republish after making any update to dashboard.

Is there any way where we can make both the things in sync because for end user it is not adding any value if app is not updating automatically.

How did you design and publish your report? Did your report get data from a data source which point/link to an external data source? (e.g. power bi get data from excel and it link to SQL server)

If this is a case, power bi will only trace the data source in which you get data instead of the original data source it point/linked. (BTW, power bi also not trigger the refresh of your data source if you are work with the above scenario.)

This is why power bi refresh scheduler running smoothly but the lastest records not append/updated to the datasets.

@saurabhsahu0111 - Automatic refreshes should still be reflected in the App, it is only if you make changes to the report and such that you need to republish the app. And I do not know of a way to automate it, maybe the Power BI REST API.

I'm finding that there's quite a bit of a delay for when i see the (measure) changes follow through in the app. Not sure on the timing, but if I want to see the changes in the app right away, I need to re-publish the Power BI App.
