Power BI App using Azure Analysis Services

I am using a live connection to my Azure Analysis Services cube in my report. When I try to publish an APP with this report I get an error that states 

"can't create the app it contains a dataset connected to an azure analysis services database"

Is this a known limitation?

Hi @Anonymous,

What type of apps are you work on? Normal power bi app or template app? AFAIK, normal power bi app not as limitations on data source type.

Publish an app in Power BI 

If you mean template app, current it does not allow live connection to azure AS data source, you can take a look at the following document to know more about this:
