Mobile layout deleted when disabling comments

Hi all,

I think I may have found a bug, but I'm looking for a workaround.  The problem is when I modify the report settings in PBI service to disable user comments, it completely deletes my mobile layout.  The strange part is that it doesn't do it right away, it's only after several minutes that it disappears.  I have to republish the report to get the mobile layout back.  This is not the behavior I expect so I think it's a bug.  But what can I do about it in the meantime?  My users are expecting that this report is showing ONLY their data so I don't want them using the comments to record information they think is private to them.

Thank you!

hey @crombilizer ,

As a mitigation, restore to PBIRLegacy should bring back the lost mobile layout if the report upgraded in the last 28 days: Restore the V1 backup  Power BI Desktop project report folder - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Please let me know if this helps mitigate the issue until the fix will be deployed.

Hi @crombilizer ,

That does seem like a unique bug.  I suggest that you go to submit a ticket for this.  Power BI
If you don't have access to that, then you can create an "Idea" and mark it as a "Bug".
