Problem of Changing Live Conn to Power BI Datasets (Use Dataset Across WS Feature)

We tried to update the report datasets to Power BI datasets (Shared and Certificated feature is used) with PowerShell script but it does not seem to work for SSAS connections.

I mean, if I update the report dataset with Powershell script and save and close the power bi file before publishing the dataset to the cloud, the report dataset does not remember the changes that we changed it to Power BI dataset and it opens with the old version with original SSAS connection when I open the power bi file again. 

How I can handle dataset across workspace feature for SSAS live conn. datasets in PowerBI reports?

May I know whether your issue is that the data source used by the pbix file doesn’t update after you removing original data source by PowerShell script and switching it to another dataset?

I’ve tested at my side. It works well. These are the tests I’ve made.

Test 1

• Remove Live Connection to LocalHost SSAS in a report by PowerShell script and re-point it to a dataset in Power BI service(app.powerbi.com)
• Save and close the pbix file
• Reopen it, data source has been updated

Test 2

• Remove the updated data source in Test1 by the script again
• Connect to a dataset in another workspace
• Save and close the pbix file
• Reopen it, data source has been the dataset in another workspace
