Power PBI Paginated report 2 optional parameters when placed side by side not working when published
Hi,
I am very new to this community. I have created a report in PBI report builder which has a couple of optional paramaters. When I place two of those optional paramters next to each other they sometimes don't work when published. The last optional paramters is greyed out when it should show the default values. However if the reselect the paramter values for the first one, it works.
Any idea whay its doing this? I noticed if I select a larger dataset, then it works, but not when I narrow down the selection.

Hi Shalb1 ,
A report parameter must be one of the following data types:
Boolean. The user selects True or False from a radio button.
DateTime. The user selects a date from a calendar control.
Integer. The user types values in a text box.
Float. The user types values in a text box.
Text. The user types values in a text box.
When available values are defined for a parameter, the user chooses values from a drop-down list, even when the data type is DateTime.
For more information about report data types, see RDL Data Types.Paginated report parameters - Microsoft Report Builder & Power BI Report Builder | Microsoft Learn
Best regards.

Anonymous the data type for both the fields are set to text. In fact they work as expected when I am selecting a larger dataset. But when the dataset is narrowed down to a smaller set, the Fraction paramter won't populate till I reselect the analyte paramter even though both have default values set. I have had this problem with another report as well, and each time this happens when two paramters with default values are placed next to each other. Usually I can get it to work by rearranging the paramter positions. But in this case, it makes most sense to have them together.
