Incorrect user email address

Hi, When creating a new user in Azure, to be able to share reports, there was a typo in their email address and this wasn't picked up until after we tried to share a report with them and they were unable to access. We removed the user from the direct access, corrected the error and re-added them to the access list, however Power BI is still picking up the original incorrect email address instead of the corrected one. I've cleared my cache, removed and re-added several times but each time I send the link it changes the email address back to the incorrect one. Any ideas how we get PBI to forget the old email address?

Hi @Tasha_DGS 

Normally, after you delete the wrong user inside Azure=>Users, no information about the deleted user appears on Service.
After deleting a user, don't rush to create a new user first, you can check on Service if the user you deleted before is still there. If not, then add a new user, because when you add a user, the last display is the user name instead of the specific e-mail address, so sometimes you can not judge whether the user's address is correct or not.

We completely deleted the user from the exchange and reset them up and they have now been able to access the report!

Lesson learned, check all spellings very carefully!!
