After completing an upgrade to the September 2021 powerBI gateway our reports using direct query have begun to fail. Any tips please.
Fig1 you can see in powerBI desktop the data is returned
Fig2 you can see the datasource attached to the gateway sucessfully refreshed
Fig3 you cannot see the visual and the error message is not helpful!
Am I missing something obvious here the goal is to connect to an on premise SQL box, produce a report, upload to BI and have the gateway provide a direct query to the dataset.
This all worked on the only Sept 2020 version....
Any assistance appreciated.
I suggest you to go to the dataset setting page and check if the gateway is online and the data source is correctly configured:

Everything is green and connected from the gateways point of view. As I said in the screenshot the refresh appears to be happening without error just the visuals are failing.
Would you like to create a new workspace and publish this report from the Power BI desktop again and configure the gateway and dataset credential again to check if the visual can correctly display.
It works fine in PowerBI desktop, the gatway seems to refresh but then looking at the report the visuals do not disaply as per fig3
Any other suggestions?
