Dialog Windows are Transparent

All the PBI Dialog windows are transparent. If I guess where the close button is I can close it. I'm guessing this is the Web View 2 preview feature failing but I can't see any contents in "options" to turn it off.

Nothing else is running and my PC should have plenty of power for it.

Things I've tried:

  • Just letting it sit and chug for 10 minutes or so.
  • Run as adminstrator
  • Uninstall Web View 2
  • Uninstall / reinstall PBI Desktop
    • 32 Bit
    • 64 Bit
    • Whatever Windows Store gives me
    • May 2022 "For Report Server" version
  • Reboot
  • Registry cleanup
  • Check if Windows Ransomware Protection was blocking it (it wasn't listed).
  • Attempting to close sub-processes individually in Task Manager (it either did nothing or crashed the whole app)
  • Changing my Windows default browser to Edge (previously Chrome)
Status: Investigating

Currently as far as I know the WebView2 structure has been configuredd in Power BI Desktop instead of a preview feature, you can try to download the latest version of Power BI Desktop:

Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center

Since you have tried uninstalled WebView2 and reinstall, if the latest version of Power BI Desktop, if it still has the same issue, you can consider using another device with similar environment to check it again.

As stated, I already attempted re-downloading and re-installing. It did not work. I have another installation on another, much less capable computer, which i the August 2022 version. It works so messing with that now risks shutting down my work completely.
