Lakehouse Shortcuts Authentication Error
Hi. One of our clients is experiencing authentication error when creating a shortcut to Delta Tables in ADLS (Gen2). At the same time the connectivity to the same Storage Account is successful using other components (Dataflows, Spark Notebooks, Semantic Models...) from the same Workspace. We checked every single variable that could potentially be causing the error:
- Fabric Admin Portal Settings: (Allow Workspace-level storage permissions).
- Storage Account Access Policy/Role Assignment: The Service Principal is given the "Storage Blob Data Reader" role.
- Storage Account Network: No VNET configuration (Public network access: Enabled).
- Lakehouse and Storage Account Regions: Both are located in North Europe
We tried to open a support ticket, but after couple of weeks support team is not being able to identify the error. This is one of the most interesting features in the data engineering experience, that has a potential to provide a huge value combined with the "Direct Lake Mode" storage mode for PBI Semantic Models. Here are some screenshots maybe someone has experienced the same error?

I also found this (Solved: Fabric Lakehouse shortcut to ADLS gen2 not working - Microsoft Fabric Community) community post with similar problem, in this case as part of the solution, MS team advised to not use firewall, in our case we are not using firewall and the Storage Account is accessible through Public Network.
