Fabric IP whitelist - REST API Pyspark Notebooks
- 2 years ago
Hi naanii
Thank you for your response,
Yes, there is no direct way to have one dedicated IP to run PySpark Notebooks in Fabric.
And you can use Azure Synapse Analytics with SHIR to meet your requirement.
Hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi naanii
Welcome to Fabric Community and thanks for posting your question here.
As I understand that you are trying to fetch some data from PySpark Notebook in Fabric using REST API, to do that activity you want to create a private endpoint to fetch data via Fabric.
Unfortunately, there is no way to create a private endpoint in Microsoft Fabric. Microsoft Fabric is a networking service that provides a way to connect your on-premises network to Azure. It does not support private endpoints.
For more details, refer to Private endpoints are not supported for Microsoft Fabric, including Microsoft Fabric trial capacities.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi v-cboorla-msft,
Thank you for providing information.
We want to fetch data from an application. This application has to whitelist IP-addresses where the requests are from. This can be 1-3 IPs.
Is there no way to have one dedicated IP to run PySpark Notebooks in Fabric? In this case, we should use Synapse with SHIR especially for this application, right?
