Can we auth a ADLS Gen2 Storage account shortcut using Managed Identity (or Workspace Identity)?

Hi,

According to this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/security/security-trusted-workspace-access, we can configure trusted workspace access from our Fabric Workspace in our ADLS Gen2 Storage Account. However, if we are to create a shortcut in a LakeHouse to access storage account data the authentication is still through SPN or an organizational account (which I assume means the users domain account). Is there a way to authenticate this connection through a Managed Identity (or a Workspace Identity)?

Currently authentication through Managed Identity is not available yet. This is on roadmap.

Thanks! I do see that the feature is mentioned as shipped in the link you shared. Does that mean it's undergoing a testing phase right now, and do we have any ETA on weather the feature will be made available to end users?

We do not have any fixed ETA for the availability. Yes the product is under testing phase and will be available soon.
