Steps tried
Step 1 - import a rdl in a folder in fabric workspace
Step 2 - create a new branch from workspace
Step 3 - Commit the rdl in the new branch created in step 2
Step 4 - Make changes in rdl in the new branch
Step 5 - Merge changes in rdl from new branch to dev branch (which is connected to workspace)
Step 6 - sync workspace with source control. sync fails with error something like below
Workload Error Code DuplicatePackageNotFoundError
Workload Error Message Rdl Report Workload failed to import the report with report id e2f4ca1d-f507-42f2-9752-5200aaa7ee5e and threw an exception with this message: Http client POST request to https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/groups/4054387d-2648-4670-9f14-dcec20621c0c/imports?datasetDispla... failed with NotFound
Note - the same process works when rdl is not in any folder insider workspace

Hi @HAnand ,
Thank you for your response. Currently, PBIP files work within folders, but RDL files do not, indicating a limitation in Fabric’s Git integration. There is no official confirmation on whether this will be addressed in the roadmap yet.

Hi @HAnand ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community. It seems that there is a limitation in Microsoft Fabric's handling of RDL files within folders in Git-integrated workspaces. When trying to sync an RDL file stored in a folder, the sync process encounters an error and fails.
Please try the following steps, as they might be helpful.
Since Git sync works for RDL files directly in the workspace, it's best to keep them outside of folders for now. Let me know if you have any additional details or need further assistance.
If my response solved your query, please mark it as the Accepted solution to help others find it easily.
And if my answer was helpful, I'd really appreciate a 'Kudos'.
Thanks for the response. Does it fabric roadmap to fix this issue for rdls within folders in git integrated workspaces? Asking as reports(pbip) works fine within folders in git integrated workspaces
