Hi @IAMCS

  • Privicy level: It controls the data from various sources, will interact during the refresh. If you opt none, there is no isolation sournce can freely interact. use case: when you have internal data such ADLS/Onelake u may sue this.  If you opt private, it will act as strict isolation means no dat sharign across source. use case: for sensitive data you may use this lable. If you opt public, then it's minimal restriction. use case: u may use this for enterprise/trusted solutions.
  • "This connection can be used with on-premises data gateways and other data gateways" means., It enables the your sematic model forusing gateway to refresh, when your data is in on premises or data source not accessing the data from cloud. Use case: U may use this for on-prem sql server.

Please go through this Privacy levels in Power Query - Power Query | Microsoft LearnSemantic model refresh activity in Data Factory for Microsoft Fabric - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft ... It might give you better clarity.

Hope it may helps you.

Thank you!!
