I have two workspaces, and a pipeline between them.
First deployment worked fine.
I then created a report against a semantic model.
Now when i try to deploy this report i get the error:
Pipeline deployment failing - Can't start the deployment.
When deploying the items below, any related datamart must be included in the deployment or must already exist in the target folder
I can confirm all other objects such as the schema & lakehouse it is built against exist in the 2nd workspace.
Would appreciate help identifying why I am getting this error.

Hi @wilson_smyth ,
There is no official documentation that mentions limitations when adding reports created in Fabric to the deployment pipeline.
I have tested and when I use a report created in Fabric for the deployment pipeline, the same issue as you have occurs even though the current workspace contains only one report that is not deployed with a report created in Power BI Desktop.
To maintain a consistent workflow, it is recommended that all team members use Power BI Desktop to create reports.

I am facing an issue while deploying a Lakehouse from a development workspace to a test workspace using Microsoft Fabric deployment pipelines. The deployment process fails with the following error details:
The Lakehouse creation in the Test workspace starts but fails to complete, leaving a placeholder Lakehouse. This Lakehouse contains critical dependencies like files, folders, and shortcuts required for other artifacts (e.g., Notebooks and Pipelines).
Please explain me this concept in detail and also refer me some videos links and documentation link to understand this topic.
Thank you for checking and reproducing the issue.
It looks like another bug in Fabric.
At least there is a workaround.
Hi @wilson_smyth ,
Please republish the unsupported reports listed in the screenshot during the target phase.
If this does not resolve the issue, please recreate a deployment pipeline. Try to deploy the pipeline after creating the project rather than creating a new project after deployment and deploying it again.

thank you for the response.
What do you mean by "republish the unsupported reports listed"?
The report was created by accessing the sql endpoint and clicking "create report", i.e. it was created in teh online tools, not powerbi desktop.
Deleting and recreating the deployment pipeline did not resolve the issue.
Hi @wilson_smyth ,
In your problem description, you can see that you created a new report after the first deployment of the pipeline, hence the error.
Re-create a report after connecting to that sql endpoint in power bi desktop, publish that report to workspace, delete and re-create the deployment pipeline and try it.

Is there an issue with adding reports created within fabric (not created in powerbi desktop), to a deployment pipeline?
I can try re-creating the report in power bi desktop, but i also need to know if i should tell everyone to only use powerbi desktop, and not create reports directly in fabric when using deployment pipelines.
