Notebook Deployment Pipelines

Hi all,

I would like to use deployment pipelines for my Fabric notebooks in order to set rules based on the lakehouse path to set default lakehouses for my files to be saved.

This is because I seem to get issues when using mssparkutils and mount points, it works in some cases when running some notebooks concurrently but in others I get an error when there's nothing wrong with the path just when saving a new file so obviously the file doesn't exist.

My issue is that if I have two developers working on the same repository in Git. How can they work on their own branches whilst also being able to have deployment pipelines setup?

Would I need to have a workspace for each developer so they can choose whichever branch they want, then have a development workspace that updates from the pull request, then use deployment pipelines to feed into prod?

Hi @abm_chris

Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community.

Absolutely, deployment pipelines in Microsoft Fabric are perfect for achieving what you described. They allow you to manage the movement of notebooks across environments and define rules for automation during deployment.

For additional information please refer to the similar thread which might help you : How to set default Lakehouse in the notebook programmatically.

I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks.
