Hi,
I'd like to know if it is possible to use the Fabric mirroring feature for an Oracle on-premise source: reading the official documentation it seems that it isn't possible.
Otherwise, which requirements does the Oracle source have to meet? F.e. does the Oracle Change Data Capture feature need to be enabled?
Many thanks

Hi @pmscorca ,
Thank you for being a part of the Microsoft Fabric Community. Special thanks to @suparnababu8 , for sharing an accurate and helpful explanation.
You're correct Microsoft Fabric currently does not support native mirroring for on premises Oracle databases. However, as @suparnababu8 mentioned, you can work around this limitation using the Open Mirroring partner ecosystem, specifically with Oracle GoldenGate 23ai, which enables change data capture without relying on Oracle native CDC.
FYI:
Currently, the following external databases are available

Hi,
I think it is important to have a native mirroring feature for an Oracle on-premise source, without using the open mirroring.

Hi @pmscorca
yes you are correct, Fabric doesn;t support natively for mirring the on-premises Oracle databases. But theres is a possiblity, you can achive this by using open mirring partner eco ssystem which was Oracle GoldenGate. Oracle change data capture not required, as GoldenGate method handles the data chnages.
