Fabric Capacity Metrics App shows Throttling event though CU % used is well below limit

While going through the Fabric Capacity Metrics Dashboard: Fabric Capacity Metrics - Power BI

I see that our CU% consumption is well below the limit.

However, the throttling metrics still show some values:
Interactive Delay:

Interactive Rejection:

Backgroun Rejection:

Can you please help with why this is the case?

Hi @anawast ,

The problem you are experiencing can be caused by the following:

  1. Fabric uses a smoothing mechanism to average CU usage over time. Even if the average usage is within limits, there may be temporary spikes in usage that cause limits.
  2. Background processes may temporarily affect resource availability.

For more information about the Fabric throttling policy, you can see the link below:
Understand your Fabric capacity throttling - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn

Check for any recent changes or deployments that may have impacted usage to see if there are any patterns or specific times when limitations occur and provide details or screenshots of errors received. This will help us with further troubleshooting.
