Datawarehouse owner change

Hello all,

I want to change the owner of my datawarehouse in fabric. 
How can i do that ? Is someone can help me in it ?

Yes, it is possible to change the owner of a data warehouse in Microsoft Fabric. This can be done using Power BI PowerShell commands provided by Microsoft. The ownership transfer is handled through a "takeover" process, which allows a user with sufficient permissions (such as Administrator, Member, or Contributor in the workspace) to assume ownership of the data warehouse.

 

To perform the takeover, you will need to install the Power BI PowerShell module, connect to the Power BI service, and run a specific REST API call using the workspace and warehouse IDs. These IDs can be obtained directly from the URL of the warehouse when opened in the SQL editor. After executing the takeover command, the signed-in user becomes the new owner of the warehouse.

 

Please note that this method only applies to the Fabric data warehouse and not to other artifacts like the SQL analytics endpoint.
