Clarification on Using Fabric Metrics App for Multiple Capacities and Subscriptions
Hi Team,
I have a few questions regarding the Fabric Metrics App:
For each Fabric Capacity, do we need to install a separate Metrics App, or can one Metrics App monitor multiple capacities? Consider the following scenario:
We have two Azure subscriptions
Each subscription has two Fabric capacities
In this case, what is the recommended approach to collect and view performance metrics for all capacities across both subscriptions?
Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
This depends on your tenant setup. The capacity metrics app will show you all the capacities in your tenant that you have access to. There is usually no need to use different capacity metrics apps inside a tenant. The story is different across tenants.
Note: They keep moving the goal posts (ie changing the semantic model) frequently so it is worth updating to the newer versions occasionally.

Hi SreeAravindM
You required to install two separate MS fabric capacity metric apps to monitor two caapcity ids seperately. So if you have multiple capacites across your subscription, I would recommend you to deploy multiple instances of the Metrics app like one per capacity, then organise them together to cosolidate viewing.
