Fabric Capacity Metrics - missing subscription data

Good morning,

From July 25 I cannot see subscription CU consumption in the App  (North Central US region) - does anyone else have this issue? Any hints what is going on?

I've raised MS support ticket but they keep on asking for random screenshots for some time now. It seems that some visuals include that data, some of them don't.

  • Hi TomaszKoc

What I would recommend doing is to uninstall the Fabric Capacity Metrics app and reinstall it again. The data is not actually housed in your tenant, but is housed by Microsoft, so by uninstalling and reinstalling, hopefully reconnect to your data.

    Hi TomaszKoc,

One thing I would check is exactly which subscription operation you expect to see in Capacity Metrics.

Microsoft's current Fabric operations documentation defines Full report email subscription specifically as a PDF or PowerPoint copy of the entire report attached to the email. Standard report snapshot generation can instead appear under Background query, which also covers creating report snapshots.

So I would run one controlled test now using a subscription with Attach full report enabled, note the exact send time/report, and then check whether Full report email subscription appears in Capacity Metrics. Microsoft says usage data normally appears within around 10 to 15 minutes.

If the full-report email is successfully generated but that operation still never appears, I would consider that strong evidence for the support case rather than normal reporting latency.

Since you mentioned that some visuals contain the data while others do not, I would also verify the Capacity Metrics app version. Microsoft's installation/troubleshooting guidance recommends reinstalling the latest app when data is missing. Rather than replacing your current copy while Support is investigating, you could install another copy into a separate workspace and compare the same capacity in both versions.

I couldn't find a currently published Fabric known issue specifically for missing subscription CU reporting in North Central US, so I wouldn't assume this is a documented regional incident yet.

For the existing support ticket, I would give Microsoft the capacity ID, one report/item ID, the exact timestamp of a successful full-report subscription, and confirmation that the operation is absent from Capacity Metrics. That gives them a much narrower telemetry window to investigate.
