Sort by breakdown in Waterfall

Waterfall in July 2017 update is cool. But it is looking really weird when the breakdown dimension is a period (ie. months that have a natural order). It would be great if the chart could be sorted by Breakdown dimension. On the example of months, we will be able to see the variation between 2 years by month in the right natural order (Jan, Feb, Mar, ...) instead of by value variation that is dificult to interprete More details here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/Sorting-on-breakdown-attribue-of-waterfall-chart-not-working/idc-p/349280#M21430

Not being able to use a sort by breakdown option is very frustrating. For our organization it renders that visual completely useless. If we want to put YTD Sales on the Y Axis, the Year in the Category and then the Region in the Breakdown - the sorting we have on the Region does not work in the Breakdown, which renders this visual completely obsolete and should be removed from Power BI as a whole.

Please any update here. It's a very basic feature. For example, I can't do a YOY change breakdown by month. Months are sorted in descending order green to red. And we can't make a sense out of it months being not naturally sorted Jan to Dec.

I would love to see this feature as well. Not being able to sort by the breakdown (period, quarter, etc) is very frustrating.

This functionality is definitely needed. Where you have a perpetual waterfall, it only makes sense to have the categories in a fixed order.

That's weird. offering a buggy version of chart and forcing users to use it in wrong way.

2022 and we cannot sort by the breakdown categories. Please implement this change!
