Imo Lakehouse IDENTITY column ought to be on the roadmap already. Power BI best practice for semantic models is building dimensional models and using INTEGERS for surrogate keys, which thus lends further priority to IDENTITY column.
For me this also ties to Materialized Lake Views (MLVs), which only becomes fully useful for creation of a Kimball dimensional model if we have IDENTITY column and MERGE capabilities. Therefore, please also consider related idea: Materialized Lake Views (MLV) IDENTITY insert and MERGE would enable slowly changing dimensions | Microsoft Fabric Community.
