Description:
In Power BI Desktop’s Data View (Table View), column widths must currently be resized one by one. This becomes inefficient when working with wide tables or many fields, especially since there is no way to quickly reduce column widths to a consistent, compact size.
While individual columns can be manually shrunk, there is no option to automatically apply a standard minimum width across all columns for easier scanning and navigation.
Requested feature:
Please add a “Shrink all columns to standard width” or “Set uniform column width” command in Data View. Ideally, this could be provided through:
- A right‑click context menu
- A ribbon button
- A keyboard shortcut
- A global setting for default column width in Data View
This would make it much faster to review large datasets and maintain a clean, consistent workspace.
Thank you for considering this enhancement!
