If I have created a dashboard based on a specific dataset and connection, can I keep the same type of visualization but switch the dataset and the connection to another table? Basically I need to change the table to a different one, but I do not want to change the visualization on the dashboard.

- david_lean1New MemberWe need this to support standard release management. The PowerBi developer may need to prototype much of the system in UAT against Masked Data. Then make it live against a production system where they no longer have permission to see the data. This is especially the case where only the customer can see their own personal data. We'd lose business if they thought our IT staff could spy on them.
- v-brjudgNew MemberExisting visualizations for a published content pack broke for consumers when the data source changed in the source file, even though the visualizations worked in the group workspace. Is this a known issue? The solution was to rename the components of the content pack (data set, report and dashboard) in the workspace, re-add the .pbix to the workspace with the original name, then update the content pack to read from the "new" components.
