Retain Column Width After Refresh

Some Tables have long Text Columns. So when I want to display all the table i adjust the columns. However after any type of refresh the column width is automatically sized to fit all tex in one line, hence cutting off all the rest of the columns. Either wrapping text or retaining column adjustments would be nice. Thx
