It's great that Power BI already has the capability to run R scripts for data transformation. It would be even better if we could run Python script.

I haven't had a chance to try this yet, but I wanted to see if Reticulate could get Python running in PowerBI: https://blog.rstudio.com/2018/03/26/reticulate-r-interface-to-python/ It might be a short-term fix while we wait for the product group, depending on your need.
