C'mon MS - under review for more than a year? Tableau have had TabPy out for 8 months now... Are you going to fund this?

There are multiple versions of this same rewuest. Would be well over 400 votes if combined. Here is one with 280 votes https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/7106921-integration-with-the-python-data-science-stack

Since the connector is in mssql should this be easy to replicate in powerbi. blogs.technet.microsoft.com/dataplatforminsider/2017/04/19/python-in-sql-server-2017-enhanced-in-database-machine-learning/

This would be great. But I thought there was already a similar idea that had a lot more votes.

Totally agree. SQL Server is going to support this so it would be logical if PowerBI does aswell.

This should be a no brainer. The Visual Studio team have already moved with the times and integrated Python functionality via python tools for visual studio. https://www.visualstudio.com/vs/python/
