Power Query Editor Copy behavior

Copy behavior in Power Query Editor suddenly copies not just the query being copied but everything that query references. 😞

Suggestions:
  1. Put it back the way it was, nobody wants Copy to work this new way where it copies all underlying queries, parameters, functions, etc.
  2. Perhaps an Option in Options and settings to set whether copy works the old way or the new way
  3. Create two copy options, Copy and "Copy All" with Copy being the old way and Copy All being the new way. Provide an Option in Options and settings to default Ctrl-V to one or the other

I'm inclined to go for option 3.

The copying of dependencies works for me when I'm creating a new report, because it saves having to follow through exactly how the existing report is configured and gets me what I need.

The problem is when copying an item over to an existing model. It will bring over a second set of dependencies. There should be control over how dependencies conflicting with existing items is resolved.
